Racing hasnt been at its best the last few games but they are a good team nevertheless with a very good coach. Hopefully we will keep a cleansheet this time along with the 3 points.
Good thread, but I am sure that Xabi is suspended for this match. He and Ramos both picked up their 5th yellow card.
Subbed, let's see what Canales has got. Hope Gago can recover from Xabi's face smash, and keep his decent run going. Let's see an 07-08 flashback with Diarra and Gago in the middle of the park.
Dude Canales is an attacking midfielder - the kid we recently signed You're thinking of this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Canella
I'm interested what's up with Garay? I saw him on realmadrid.com video playing training game, so he should be fit.
I personally think Garay will not be fully fit if he's to play against Racing. Pellegrini - it seems- is very cautious over players fitness levels. Kaka, Drenthe and Garay continued their respective recoveries in the gym, I mentioned this earlier in the thread.
I saw what you have wrote, but look here, guy was playing normal, then he got knocked in challenge against Pipita but he continued with training game like nothing happened. http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satell...icia/Fans_turn_out_in_droves_for_training.htm
That was from yesterday. Today word on the street is: "Only Kaka, Drenthe, Pepe and Gut worked out indoors as 1,600 Madridistas attended the session." http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satell...icia/Fans_turn_out_in_droves_for_training.htm
So Lass is good to go then? [LINEUP-4-4-2]Higuain,Ronaldo,VDV,Lass,Gago,Granero,Marcelo,Garay,Albiol,Arbeloa,Saint[/LINEUP-4-4-2]
It's better if they miss this game than the one next week. Anyone else is almost over the yellow card limit?
Hahah, yeah I got them mixed up. All the same, I was sure we'd signed Canales the LB for the last 2 months
I don't know if you watched the last game, but Xabi and Ramos very deliberately waited until after the 80 minute mark and then went out of their way to pick up yellows since they were the only two at risk of missing El Clasico. Ramos went so far as line-up a free kick until he got a yellow for time-wasting and then let someone else take it
They are the obvious ones, who were in the Atletico game 1 yellow away from suspension. But what about players who were on 3 yellows in the Atletico game, got one then, and now will miss the Classico should they be carded in the Racing game. If there is no one then, all the better.
I believe he already picked up his 5th yellow against Getafe and missed the Atletico game due to suspension. It didn't really matter at the time since he would have missed the Atletico game due to injury anyways.
