I root for Switzerland for obvious reasons. There's more quality in the Swiss team. I would like to see more if then in this tournament. Both teams have a clear script and are tactically very solid. This Swiss team is mentally stronger than prior Swiss sides. Their cone from behind victory against Serbia is a prove. It will be a tough match up. Most people have this as a 50:50 affair however I see the Swiss slightly stronger.
I have noticed a pattern here. When two Euro teams collide the games are not as exciting and dynamic. Latin American teams and Japan (who have been influenced by Brazil) play with more flair and pizzazz for the most part and have made the games more lively.
I don't think his arm was moving toward the ball. I think its the action of his arm being pulled into his body that gives the appearance of moving toward the ball
You sure about that? I would give credit to Japan for playing a distinct style of football in Russia 2018. Don't see any traditional "number 10" in both Japan and Brazil NTs.
You mean get a sketchy PK and a ridiculously lucky own goal? Of course with that kind of help my slow old farts league team might win.
This game is turgid unsurprisingly. Two very limited teams without much technique and vision. Not surprising since both like to hide ten behind the ball usually and hit on the counter to sneak wins. Switzerland are so very fortunate to even be here after the diabolical refereeing firstly with Northern Ireland in the playoff and Mitrovic not being awarded a clear penalty. Incredibly dull match between two incredibly dull limited teams. Morocco and Peru would have been far better in the second round.
I never mentioned a number 10 in my post. I mentioned more flair and pizzazz. And the games without Euro pairings seem to be better paced with better rhythm.
