Unfortunately Mexico ia good just when playing against big teams. Then they get an average european team and lose.
Will be interesting if Mexico can keep this up all match. I know they are used to high temperatures, but after 3 matches in a short period, this might be tough.
Mexico needs to score a goal in the first half. The way they are playing right now is extremely exhaustive, I don't see them playing the same way after 60 minutes or so, unless they've got a couple of Kantés on the bench.
There is somwthing interesting in this Brazilian team. They never started playing well, and then grow as the match goes.
Mexico needs to get more lethal with finishing. All the pressing comes to naught because Brazil will be clinical
Not really surprised with this, Mexico have a history of being a nemesis to Brazil - last year's World Cup + a series of victories against them in Copa Americas, Confed Cups + Gold Cups - Mexico for some reason are a bad matchup for Brazil.
So Alverez was dumped by Pachuca at 14 for being 'too short?' Glad the US isn't the only country screwing up player development
33 degrees in Samara. Probably more in the stadium. It isn't the weather to be going all out pressing non-stop. Mexico need to conserve some energy, defend well and then have a 2nd all action spell later in the game. Much easier typed than done.
