Man, I want Barca to sign Mbappe but we all know those oil rich merchants wouldn’t do any business with us.
Here is to a good match with no injuries, own goals or PKs. Temperature at kickoff will be about 25 degrees with 50% humidity, so manageable.
Sisto is out and not playing for Denmark vs. Croatia ... and he is not injured but has simply been benched, because he so far has been running circles around himself and slowing down the Danish attack, just as he has been losing the ball too often in dangerous positions ... and Chelsea CB Andreas Christensen is going to play as DM, while Huddersfield CB Mathias "Zanka" Jørgensen will take his place in CB position ... so Denmark is fielding 3 CB's which should make long passes more difficult for Croatia ...
I'm sorry but Denmark were outplayed in all 3 matches. What you just showed me is that Peru had more possession and more attempts on target. But I don't need to look at the statistics. I watched the game. i also watched the Australia game, and while that game was fairly even, Australia were slightly better in both halves. None of this matters now, however, as Denmark are about to get a football lesson from the greatest midfield in the world today. Now the Norwegian coach can go home and rest and eat his lutefisk.
I'm supporting Denmark in this one. I don't fancy England's chances against Croatia if we get through the next round. Mind you I don't fancy us getting through the next round.
Funny thing: Croatia and Denmark finished second in their qualifying groups and had to qualify through the playoffs. The winners of both groups, Poland and Iceland, are already home. Same is true of the Swiss, second in their group and Portugal, the group winner, already home. If Sweden lasts longer than France in the tournament, it'll be a poker of playoff teams doing better than their group winners.
Knudsen is also new in the Danish line-up for this match, due to his long throw-in's ...and that seemed to work rater well
