When the SoBs have games that don't coincide with PSU football I'll try to be there to take pictures...

Uhhh, thanks. Have you seen my "fat guy in a little coat" routine?

I'm most comfortable in central defense and will be there on Sat. I'm going out to Chicago for the US-Brazil game, but my flight doesn't leave until 2.

As far as formations go, I'm partial to a 4-4-2 diamond with a holding and attacking midfielder in the center, but we'll see what we have and take it from there.

Are you guys practicing at all during the week? I can't play in CASA obviously but wouldn't mind kicking the ball around with some fellow SoBs.

    I second that!

..if the team is shorthanded, i'd be more than happy to act as a reserve... I havent been playing very long though.

Ok, there was a misunderstanding between Tom and I.

The bye week is going to be the 22nd because THAT'S the week that the falcons are going to be away. We were always going to be playing on the 15th.

Here are our two options: we can play at 9:20 in the morning on the 15th, or we can play two games on the 29th.

    What do you guys think?

I'd take the 9:20 on the 15th, we wouldn't be tailgating until 3 in Camden anyway...

I won't be able to play the 15th if the game is at 9:20...

    Hey guys,

I apologize for not being around for any get togethers this w/e but I was in SIC celebrating the holiday. I don't really know anyone on the team so hopefully something can be put together this week and I can introduce myself.

I played in both HS and college at La salle and was a midfielder so hopefully if we're short there, I can help out. the last time I played competitively was at rocket sports in the beginning of the summer but i am in decent shape heading into next weekend. i will follow the board this week and hopefully i can get off of work early enough to make a practice.

I won't be able to play the second half of the second game on the 22nd after suffering a heart attack in the first half ;)

Pending logistics, I might be able to warm the bench on the 29th.

I won't be able to make the match on the 15th so a doubleheader on the 29th works best for me.

I can play on the 15th. A double-header seems needlessly brutal. As long as we can field 11 on the 15th, it would be better than having to play two with subs.

We're allowed to have guest players and I'm sure we have enough connections to field a team on the 15th with subs if we want to.

if we field less than 7 people, we forfeit the game. if we forfeit the game, we lose our $300 deposit. we currently have 21 (?) active people on our roster. how many people are doing the O&A thing, and what time do those festivities begin? i'll be missing the game on the 22nd, as it's irish weekend in wildwood, so it's good we're having a bye that week. i'd prefer NOT to do a double-header on the 29th. 3 hours of soccer in one day? yikes.

speaking of which, should we have a first aid kit, ice packs, etc??

Well we'd have the game in the morning on the 15th now, so the O&A thing isn't a problem...

I can't be there if we play on the 15th, but it looks like we'll have enough people.

I can definitely play on the 15th. I'm sure we'll be able to field a team. I don't know what is more brutal, though...11 of us playing a full game with no subs on the 15th, or 2 games on the 29th with subs!
