Sons of Ben 2 - Haggard FC 1 FINAL

Goals by Anthony in roughly the 35th minute and Joel in the 88th minute to win the game. Yellow Card to Joe, although it will show up in the standings as belonging to Dill0n, but I'll have it changed :)

Great performance today lads, we knocked off the team at the top of the table.

    2-1

    Great game, you SoBs!!!

Another fantastic performance in net by our own David Flagler, that one save was incredible.

I think the counterattacking style we're doing is working well...defense is getting solid out there.

I shouldn't ever let in a goal near post, don't worry about it.

Yes, great result. Team is really coming together.

I agree that Dave's save was incredible. Turned out to be even larger after our "smash & grab" goal at the end.

What a feeling. I could really get used to that.:)

I loved the team effort. I feel like we really picked each other up. They definitely had skill and fitness that required team defense and opportunistic attack. Great work!

My shoulder and foot are both still sore.

But it's that good kind of pain, the rewarding kind.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents on our first win! You have to love getting the win that late in the match, especially against a team as cocky as they were.

Great work on defense when we were against the wind and they were sending 5-6 guys into the attack. Dave, again, had a GREAT day!

I can't wait to see where we end up in the updated table, but if we keep working this hard, this won't be the last result we see!

Fantastic job guys, thanks for making us proud. SoB had their first win faster than Toronto, RSL and Chivas USA. ;)

    Any pictures?

probably not, as our "official" SoB photographers were either playing, or just not there.

Man, that prediction was off, and I'm glad it was. They pushed 5 guys up at the end of that game and the defense held tight. Great job guys, they only got two shots off on me. One of which I should have saved, and the other I was lucky enough to get my fingertips to.

We're starting to look really good out there.

I don't know about the one that got in Dave. We had everyone well marked, and you were in the right position. The guy curled it nicely off the outside of his foot and put it in a great spot. I wouldn't sweat it, as it was definitely a great shot, not sure if we could've done anything about it.
