If Flachi does miss a lot of time then hopefully Cipriani will develop into another great Italian striker, with players like him and Gilardino things aren't looking bad for the azzurri in the future.

Champions Leaugue isn't impossible, but Parma and Inter aren't going to give it up easy.

Parma may give up by default, but to be honest if Samp made it to Europe that would be a fantastic season.

    Bazzani does it again.

saw a lot of the match on sunday, was impressed with the 2-2 draw with inter. Even without Flachi, that Cipriani was dangerous in attack as a partner for Bazzani.

couple good additions this summer and I think Samp's a real threat for next season.

What a disaster if Samp misses out on the UEFA Cup by a point or two after Antonioli's blunder in goal. Gilardino was down shouting for a pk and didn't even realize the ball was in the net. There are blunders and there are blunders. Even given the wet conditions, this was a top 10 list sort of blunder.

I wonder if this will make the FSW highlights. I missed the show last night and it sounds almost comical.

Other than that one error, he was MoM from what I read.

Antonioli made a blunder equally as bad when he played for Milan in 1992 in the Milan derby (wow, how ironic that the derby was this weekend!). He also almost cost Roma their scudetto 3 years ago against Perugia with the same type of error. Before his blunder against Inter in '92 he was the U-21 goalkeeper and was Italy's goalkeeper in the Olympics and considered better than Peruzzi and a sure bet to replace Pagliuca on the nat'l team. On a positive note he was great the year that Bologna made it to the semis in of both the Uefa Cup (they were screwed by the ref in the return leg against Olympic Marsaille!) and the Coppa Italia. When he blows it though, he really blows it. For those of you who did not see it, his error today was as bad as Taibi's was a few years ago which sealed his fate with Man U.

Played well in a tough loss against Milan.

Best part - didn't go in looking to play dull football.

Samp played a good match. Doni did not do much aside from the goal. No need for excuses though because Milan played a great match and looked unstopable. Antonioli had another good game after the blunder of a lifetime 2 weeks ago.

The move up the table continues.
Not a pretty match, but 3 points is 3 points.
