Anthony McMahon is some youngster, they highlighted him on Match of the Day last night. I saw him in the Lazio game and thought he looked class, so composed and tidy in his play for his age.

Yeah, he's doing great. A boy putting in a man's performance.

Only 18 and part of the Boro youth team that won the youth FA cup last year.

Its good to see that we are getting these youngsters in the side.

He was the captain of the youth team. Only 18 years old and we havent lost when he's played.

The boss tinkered and paid the price vs. villareal .Leaving Hasselbaink and vuduka on the bench was madness.

Middlesbrough have a legitimate shot at UCL spot this year, lets hope they don't blow it.

Tottenham loss was bad, since a team which wants to challenge for UCL has got to at very least get a point there.
Frank Quedrure deserved a booking but straight RED is inexcusable! That withstanding still shouldn't have dropped points.
Mark Schwarzer's howler put game out of reach and them oddly enough he made another howler but was lucky not to be punished by Michael Carrick! Hopefully, he's got his season's quota of howlers met and can go back to being one of the most dependable keepers in EPL.
(Also hope those howlers keep Man Utd's rumoured Schwarzer interest at bay)

Looks more and more likely that Schwarzer is leaving.

Myself i would like to see either Tim Howard or Carlo Cudicini but thats unrealistic :(

There's been talks that McClaren is impressed with Robert Green of Norwich

woo-hoo! :D Well despite Boro not playing, results have gone our way in the UEFA cup tonight. Both Lazio and Villarreal drew, which means that the Italian team can't catch us. A win at home to Paritzan the week after will guarentee us the first place!

    Results:

    Partizan Belgrade 1-1 Villarreal
    [Tomic 65; Cazorla 17]

    Egaleo 2-2 Lazio
    [Chloros 7, Agritis 54; Muzzi 15, 36]

    Code:
                              P W D L F--A +/- Pts
    [B]Middlesbrough 3 2 0 1 3 2 1 6[/B]
    Partizan Belgrade 3 1 2 0 7 3 4 5
    Villarreal CF 3 1 2 0 4 2 2 5
    SS Lazio 4 0 3 1 5 7 -2 3
    Egaleo 3 0 1 2 2 7 -5 1
Next up is Partizan at the Riverside, win and 1st place is ours!

    [December 15]

    Boro v Paritzan
    Villareal v Egaleo

McClaren has said he wants to buy a back up left back....

Should see some movement in the transfer market in January. A new right midfielder and a new back up left back.

    Middlesbrough-Manchester City LIVE on FSW.

Looking at Chelsea-Newcastle United again while waiting for Boro game.

Viduka and Hasselbaink (and basically all Middlesbrough forwards) haven't scored in quite some time and need to put things right to beat a plucky Citeh side who are playing with their tails up and loads of confidence!

Duke got a brace and jimmy scored a great freekick, will that do ya? :D

All 3 goals were brilliant and although we made it hard work at the end we deserved to win, man city had like 2 shots up until 80 mins and scored both.

    Southampton away on Saturday.

could be a tough game due to the fact they have a new manager.

Queudrue is still suspended for 2 more games but Boateng will be back which helps our midfield a lot.
