    Full time from Portugal:

    Sporting Lisbon 4-0 Boro

Boro were ********ing shite. Now you see why you need to make signings McClaren? because Ugo Ehiogu and Ray Parlour are ********ing garbage and Mendieta looks ********ed since his injury.

Boateng getting himself sent off doesnt help matters either.

    4-0?

    Ouch....

    That's not good.

Don't worry PSG's pre-season form wasn't great, but we came back badder than Rocky and turned it around. Sporting are a good side. CL good.

We still need about 2 or 3 new faces in the side.

I agree on Ugo, he's lost alot of his mobility since coming back from injury...

We were shite by all accounts, but Atletico are a class act.

With the likes of Torres, Petrov, Maxi, Kezman etc - they will be top 4 in Spain no doubt.

And let's get rid of Ugo please, the defence is starting to come apart.

Looks like up front is looking shameful...

2 Goals in 4 Preseason games???

As far as Ehiogu, he's been useless for ages!

    Our defence is looking uneasy...

Parnaby is out with a knee injury, Ehiogu picked up a knock against Madrid and Southgate went off early yesterday and Riggott has only played 1 game this pre-season.

I think I may......I repeat with some slight caution that I may go to this game.

I think PSG v Toulouse will have to wait - I'll go and seem them play Nice instead.

Head says 1-1. Heart says 1-0 Boro win.

For a young right winger, he is VERY good although i think he cant cope with a full season just yet.

So, any injury news for the squad?

I'm hoping to be able to see Yakabu and JFH at the same time. This game will be shown on FSC stateside, so I'm getting a good opening weekend.

Plus, should be a good opening test, since most Pool fans seem to think they'll be top 4 this year.

Also, probably time to start a new 2005-2006 match thread.

Condolences to the teesiders. I'm sure Boro would bounce back after such a huge thrashing. Stay cool :)
