Ok, so we sit Richie Williams and put in Tim Reagan.

What besides height does Reagan add?

Mathis is playing almost at right mid.

    I'm lost.

If Dario Fabbro can score on us in the first 15 minutes of the match then we are in trouble.

Forget that, we look absolutely abysmal in the final third of the field.

First, I need to change my username.

Second, the Metros have not had a shot in 20 minutes and they are in the 64th minute.

Mathis obviously stagnates the offense. The offense as a whole is in a slump, but this is no way to approach the playoffs. It will be a short postseason if it continues.

We're getting progressively worse - and more boring - as this game goes on. I wasn't at all embarassed by our loss to Chicago on Wednesday, but I'm getting more and more frustrated and embarassed by this crap I'm seeing.

And New England puts on a slow defender, to adequately cope with our slow striker.

My MSG (on Shootout) just cut out for a Japanese game show (no joke).
It would really suck to not have FSW about now.

What a pile of stinking, unengaging shit that was. No enthusiasm, no edge that I could detect, save for Jusko imploring the team to get back to the center circle and even up the game. Maybe we're just worn out by 3 games in a week...but...whatever.

A goalless draw against the worst team in the league, a loss (and no goals) in a cup final at home, and a loss to a fairly putrid, and very depleted side. 1 goal scored, in total, in that stretch.
It's been a godawful disaster of a week for the Metros.

    MOVEMENT MOVEMENT MOVEMENT!

What the hell, they were just standing around. Too many passes that traveled 4 yards and then came right back.

    Blar.

    This game sucked.

Putrid? Please. We beat you soundly, roundly and in all aspects of the game, playing to the plastic surface, taking what the defence gave us. Can you say 4 in a row?

    Mathis looked better tonight though.

Wolyniec's near 1v1 with the keeper that resulted in a near miss by guevara illustrates some of wolyniecs drawbacks. He can't dribble worth a flip.

Clark or Gaven or Guevara Or Mathis rounds the keeper there and dribbles the ball into the goal.

    Putrid.
Outside of Ian Fuller II, aka Pat Noonan, who we somehow made look like Van Nistelrooy half this game, you didn't offer much at all. Neither did we. Go away.

Our lads played to space better, had fewer giveaways, made fewer mental mistakes and dictated the tempo (until the last 10 minutes). Had Noonan not hit the crossbar, or Ralston got on top of his shot, it would have been 4-1. I'm glad it stayed tight; kept your guys from getting too chippy (except for Steve "knock 'em down but then apologise" Jolley, of course).

I'm ready for back to back home and home sweeps.

Fuller's got better hair, but Noonan's the better player: 7 goals and 6 assists through 1582 minutes played for a total of 20 points... that's more points than any current Metrostars player through tonight's match and accumlated over a shorter period of time.

We outplayed you in the first half. You outplayed us in the second half. We were both unlucky to see golden scoring opportunities just miss.

Yet the Revolution out-shot you by a margin of 2-1 and won the game, and contray to what Deuteriumoxide has suggested, the Revolution actually had the better of Metro in terms of overall possession.

It wasn't a blowout by any stretch, and it will be interesting to see how the next couple of matches go, assuming we end up facing each other in the playoffs.

Here's a bright spot for you though: the official MLS boxscore shows an attendance tonight of 186,489.

I knew those droning horns sounded louder than usual.

Um, don't the Rev's have their own boards? I thought there were forums specifically for the rivelry stuff, too.

Having said that, the best move would have been for Regan to take out Noonan and take the red card. What, Bradley's strategy was better?

Yay, a goal from the old Polish guy.

Sorry, I am just sickened that we went from possibly the best in the league to our old habits.

and THAT is why Juan Marcos Forchetti does not play.
Jolley sucked, Gaven Sucked, Woly sucked, Guevara slows down the attack way to much.
Bradley subs too late in the game.
Mathis and Lisi were the only 2 players that werent garbage.
and WTF?! they dont sell Metro Scarves at games?!
