BUNDESLIGA 2 - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SC FREIBURG v 1. FC KÖLN 2.04 3.2 4.00 (Betfair) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Pick: 1x, under I would take Freiburg with Levelball, but seems as if no bookie offers it! Surprising! Well, on Monday Koeln made their comeback to the Bundesliga clear and the whole Area of Cologne celebrated it for days. And the players - how much have they drunken? Well, thinking about the people from Koeln, where I lived for a while, I guess a lot. Reporters have seen most of the players the whole night long on Mondays in the pubs, others on the night to Wednesday as well. Tired? But all the pressure is now away from their shoulders, they can prove now, why they are at the top of the table. Koeln-Coach Funkel announced, that they now wanna get the title of Bundesliga2-Champion as well. But some of the Koeln-Players won't be on the pitch again: Springer, Dwoorak and Iyodo injured, Helbig is suspended - four important guys can be even for Köln too many. When they promoted three years ago to the Bundesliga - also after the 30th round - they lost the next match at home (!) against Karlsruhe 1:2. Freiburg, placed 2nd, needs these points more urgent than Koeln. Frankfurt, Mainz and Fürth are all 5 points and more behind them, but anyway, Freiburg can't afford to lose now again - 6 points, 2 wins, and promotion is save. Freiburg can play with their best players on Friday, and well - they really know how to play. Great offensive football, all players have brilliant technical skills - but the big problem of SC Freiburg is: They always wanna make goals like Maradonna or Pele - but the Gerd Müller, Van Nistelroy-Goals are needed - well the two forwards of Freiburg would nowhere else play in the front. One is a classical offensive midfielder (Guie-Mien), the other one a brillian right-winger (Iashvili). Great georgian Levan Kobiashvili comes back to the team, as well as the defenders Riether and Diarra - without these three, Freiburg lost to Fürth 0:4. Anyway, I see the homeadvantage for Freiburg, but they will have problems to score against an always well organized defense from Cologne. 1 is a good pick, but the odds are too low around actually. That's why I take medium stakes. http://www.scfreiburg.com/ http://www.badische-zeitung.de/ http://www.fckoeln.de/ http://www.express.de ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Union Berlin v LR Ahlen 1.93 3.25 3.30 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Pick: Under and Berlin (0) 1,60 @Interwetten Well, Union Berlin plays from a save position, but won't give that match away that easily today. Although Berlin has only lost one (!) of the last 10 matches, the critical media of the german capital is very angry about Votava. They won 3 of the last 10, but drawed 6 times and there were a lot of 0:0 among the results. Already fans wanted the coach to get fired. But maybe they play a boring style, but hey, they play succesful. Frankfurt wasn 't able to find a way through the defense of Berlin last Friday and lost important points. Ahlen is fighting for staying in the league, but they have big problems at the moment. It looks like as if the team has problems to realize, that only fighting helps them at the moment. But are the able to score against a team, where so many teams had problems so far??? Well, I have some doubts about it, and I guess, coach Lorant is not the right person for a team, that plays in the relegationzone. His method to motivate his players is oldfashioned and rude. He never was popular among players. Velkoborsky - one of the best from Ahlen - is suspended. Delicious: Expensive coach Lorant actually works for free for Ahlen - but he would get paid 300.000 Euro, when Ahlen stays in the league. A good reason for Lorant, to become really nervous. http://www.fc-union-berlin.de/ http://www.lrahlen.de/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FC St. Pauli v W. Burghausen 1.78 3.35 3.75 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: 1, 1x Well, today the "Kiez" is burning. The clever supporters of Pauli started an event called "Give your last shirt for Pauli"..St.Pauli had bad luck in the last matches. Anyway, this time it is WIN or DIE! If they don't win now, it will be a disaster for Pauli and Hamburg. Relegation would be surer than ever and hard to avoid. Maybe good that their opponent is Burghausen now. Well, bad for Pauli, in the last matches they had to play against the topclubs: Koeln, Fürth, Freiburg, Trier. And they performed well! Lost only against the mighty team from Koeln. Burghausen played the last three againt the worst teams in the league from Mannheim, Reutlingen and Oberhausen. Defender Nascimento returns to the line-up, coach Gerber is thinking about him as forward today. And Pauli has a small problem on the goalkeeper-position, both 1st and 2nd keeper are doubtful, the doctors are trying to heal them until this evening - if not, second team goalkeeper Miethe would have to play. The second team plays in the 4th league.... And Bulat, 2nd keeper, has psychological problems in important matches. Burghausen is save, plays for nothing - and I can't see them winning at all at Pauli. The fans will push the team to an important win - if Pauli is not too nervous. And I would have some doubts, if the goalkeeper today is not Müller - maybe take a late look on the line-ups: if the goalkeepers name is Miethe or Bulat, you should better avoid it. http://www.fcstpauli.de/ http://www.sv-wacker.de/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - GER. REGIONALLIGA NORTH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SV BABELSBERG v WERDER BREMEN most bookies don't offer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: 2 Babelsberg is already relegated, because they don't get a license for next season. So, they don't compete normal anymore - and Bremen is one of the best awayteams in 3rd-League, so that won't be a bigger problem I guess. But most Bookmakers don't offer this match at all. But if you find it, you can take Bremen here. ________________________________________________________________________ SOUTH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WEHEN - AALEN 1.80 3.35 3.50 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: 1x, under. You can take 1 here, but somehow I smell a draw - so a draw cover would be wiser! Both teams will meet next season again - they can't neither promote or get relegated. The motivation for Wehen could be, to improve in the standing. They are now at 12th position, but only 3 points behind the 7th, which is Aalen.... Wehen won all of their last four matches at home, while Aalen lost three in a row, when a lot of players were suspended or injured. But today, the team from Aalen plays again with the best team. http://www.sv-wehen.de/ http://www.vfr-aalen.de/ _________________________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ELVERSBERG - SIEGEN 2.00 3.30 2.95 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: 1x should be save. Homewin possible. There is still a small danger for Elversberg to fall down to the relegation zone again. But they improved this year, and still one more win and they should avoid relegation finally. Elversberg played three great last matches, defeated the strong team from Saarbrücken 2:0 away, drawed at home against the topteam from Augsburg and got the three points at Pfullendorf - all three teams are among the first 7 in the table. Siegen is harmless on the road and plays actually on for holding their position in the midfield. http://www.sv07elversberg.de/ http://www.sportfreunde-online.de/ __________________________________________________ AUSTRIA - 1st DIVISION ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MATTERSBERG - LEOBEN 1.66 3.25 4.30 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: Mattersburg should normally win it by 2 - but no suggestion here Mattersberg has already promoted and won the 1st.Division-Title. And only one team can promote - how boring actually. Leoben has big financial problems at the moment, and didn't get a licence in first instance for next season. Normally a big pick on Mattersberg, but they concentrate on Cupsemifinal. http://www.sv-mattersburg.at/ http://www.dsv-leoben.at/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WIENER SC - INTERWETTEN.COM 2.30 3.20 2.55 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: No Bet suggested. x2 looks save. 2 possible. Most bookie call Interwetten.com still "Untersiebenbrünn", except www.interwetten.com of course....Well, the poor team from Vienna has lost 5 in a row now and has to play in Austrian Regionalliga next year. Interwetten.com hasn't played well in the last weeks, but where is the motivation? Nothing to win or lose, the Austrians should change their league-system. Wien played so poor in the last weeks, that it would be rather surprising, when they win a point today. http://www.wienersportklub.at/ http://www.sc-interwetten.com/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ KAPFENBERG - LINZER ASK 1.85 3.25 3.40 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: No bet suggested. x2 looks saver than 1x - x could be worth a try. Linz is in a great form, they have won 11/15 points in the last 5, while Kapfenberg hasn't won for four matches. The same like in the previous matches: There is no motivation at all for both. They are secured, Linz may could change the position with Kapfenberg today, but I would avoid to bet it - it is much too open. http://www.ksv-fussball.at/ http://www.lask.at/ __________________________________________________________ HOLLAND EERENDIVISIE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EXCELSIOR - DE GRAFSCHAP 1.65 3.65 4.35 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: Excelsior This match will be very crucial for both teams as it's a matter of life and death. Excelsior at 17th place with record 5-7-17 29-51 and De Graafschap is the 1st team but at bottom of the table (4-5-20 28-71). Excelsior is the worst home team in the league but De Graafschap makes it a bit better as they are the worst away team and have managed to get only one point and 6 goals scored at away this season. A place in the top division is in Graafschaps own hands because the rest of the season they will play against other teams in the battle but if they lose this game, it's very probable that nothing can save them anymore. A quite long injury list won't make it any easier for Graafschap. Out for sure from this match will be Rene Bot, Rody Turpijn, Edwin Hermans, Berthil ter Avest, Jean Paul van Gastel and Tim Bakens. Also Jason Culina is suspended. Excelsior has also some injury problems but not as bad as the opponents Probably the odds for Excelsior has been slashed a bit because of these injuries but I still believe that Excesior is worth of a bet at 1,8. http://www.sc-excelsior.nl/ http://www.mijngraafschap.nl/ ___________________________________________ -ITALIA - Seria B ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PALERMO - NAPOLI 2.05 2.68 3.66 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: Small stakes on X Apparently Palermo has not bigger reasons as Napoli in this contest, but in front of the their own supporters they wanna show something to pay something back after a very disappointing season so far. But Palermo has never convinced this seasons at home, just a few wins and faces now their close friends from Napoli - that need any points, to avoid a relegation. Can you imagine this tradiotional club playing in Seria C?. Important players are absent for both sides: Mutarelli is suspended, but forward Santana Maniero rejoins the team, Napoli misses Mancini, Troise, Sesa and the young Floro Flores. Especially the offense of Napoli is weakened without them. Well, one point is actually not enough for Napoly, but better than nothing. Low stakes on a draw and under suggested. ___________________________________________ -IRELAND EIRCOM-LEAGUE (only short - time time time) http://www.fai.ie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHELBOURNE - St.PATRICKS 2.10 3.30 3.00 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: 1x looks save. 1 with x-cover. Derby at Dublin. Shelbourne started with three wins into the season and drawed last week against Drogheda. St. Patrick had an average start, won 1, lost 1, two x. The Shells are my favourite team from Ireland, and I see them winning this derby as well, but it will be quite a close match - but on-loan Wolves striker Jimmi Lee Jones and Ugandan international Mbabazi Livingstone are doubtful for St.Patrick today, both scored in St.Patricks last week victory over ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WATERFORD - BOHEMIANS 3.70 3.30 1.85 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: No bet suggested. But: Waterford could surprise the champion here with good odds! The newly promoted team from Waterford has a sold out arena today when facing the most famous club from Ireland, last seasons winner Bohemians Dublin. Waterford really surprised with three wins in a row, but the Bohemians are too experienced, to give this match that easily away. Although their first four matches were rather disappointing (1-2-1), they have still a chance to win at Waterford. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DROGHEDA - LONGFORD 2.37 3.25 2.62 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pick: No Bet, smells like a draw. Both sides have a bad start, Drogheda still without important players and Longford with problems in the defense. Open match with a close end, maybe a draw. _______________________________________________________________________ SUMMARY OF MY PICKS - SC FREIBURG v 1. Thanks a lot for the link to Koeln, as they are one of my favorite clubs. But I don't understand German. Does the club have an English link? Great to have them back in the Bundesliga!
...am very sorry to write my analyses in wrong thread... And unclesox; They have not an ENGLISH page You can use translationmachines like: http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/ I am sure Koeln will built an english site for the next season...
