The comments are funny, and if you follow the link over the the announcement of Robert Hegyes' (Epstein) death back in January the get even funnier. I forgot about "Signed Epstein's Mother"... Which leads me to the conclusion that being a TV writer is a thankless job, as a number of the things people say they liked about these actors and their characters can all be attributed to the writers rather than the actors. On the otherhand, I'll bet Horshack's accent and the "Ohh!, Ohh!" were probably improvisations Ron Palillo created himself.
