They scored as I was typing... got a little hopeful.. its all done now... It'll be years b4 Suriname can be competitive. Small population (400,000) lack of funds, lack of professional league, poor training. They can always "compete" with the El Salvadors, Guatemalas, Jamiacs etc, but seem to always lose by 1 or 2. The dream of having Surinames ex-pats come over (like Melkcherts, Haiisselbank, Vrede, etc, will not happen due to distance and other circumstances. Suriname will just be known as the country which "supplies" Holland. It wa interesting to see the Surinamese team, hadn't seen them since about 1978 or so.
