Starting a thread for this one. It is live on Telemundo now. The first leg ended 1-1 in Surinam. Ruiz and Pezzarossi starting up front for Guatemala.
This one looks pretty sloppy so far. Bad passing and control. Yellow card to Suriname for a BS challenge, the Gutemalan is totally faking it.
Guatemala has the better of the possession. But Surinam has come closest to scoring. The Guatemalans are diving left and right.
They always do just like almost every latin team. Mexico is really the only one that holds their ground and doesn't wuss out. Guatemala just missed a good chance in the 19'.
Surinam continues to get roasted down their right flank by that bleached-blond Guatemalan winger. ('El Loco' ?) Surinam is having problems putting 3 passes together. They keep punting it downfield and hoping for something.
They totally f-ed up ther free kick chance at the edge of the 18. Then a Guatemalan exagerates an injury to get a BS call when the defender got ball.
Looks like Suriname has a few players (Lupson, Felter, Bainoe) with technical ability and the rest provide "filler". They're not able to put anything together. You can see that Bainoe has had international experience (Belgium and Holland). Purperhart has seen his best days and should be substituted for a speedier forward. Should they pull off a mriacle, they would need some of the Dutch-based players to get any further. The only way I see them scoring is through individual break-away skill.
Gino Brandon also stars in The Futsal National Team and just recently's been playing for The National team. If Suriname scores again they go forth by virtue of scoring 2 away. Liked to have seen Purperhart subbed for (tired, complains too much). Its now 3-1, Suriname are showing their amateurish ways by complaing to the ref instead of defending, waving while Ruiz shoots and scores.
