    AND JAPAN SCORE!

One would think they didn't know how to do that.

    1 - 0.

    hmm
Japan has to beat Brazil to get into the semis , and that won't happen
as Mexico won the direct duel of ******/Mex
even if they loose to greece

Why is JAPan a bad word?

He's played 8 years in Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan's version of Man United and Bayern Munchen almost), thats why he qualifies for Nippon's NT.

Nooo.my favorite Japanese player, nakamura, is replaced by Koji Nakata

Obvious switch, but why not Hide Nakata, who plays even less defense than Nakamura?

japan can still qualify only if brazil beats mexico by 3 or more goals

    No
    as they explained it
they compare the direct meeting BEFORE the goals
    as in CL

    means:

Mexico won against Japan with 2:1
    Japan won against Greece 1:0
If Greece wins against mex with 2:1
    they compare greece and Mexico
as Japan lost against Mexico and Greece won with more goals agains Mex then they lost against Japan

(thats complicated but iirc they do it like that)

I think you don't get it

GOAL DIFFERENCE IS NOT the FIRST comparing reason

    1. Direct Confrontation between the teams
    2. Goal Difference IF 1. Fails

but the direct confrontation Mexico/Japan was won by Mexico
