With the game less than a week away I figured I'd start the thread and get the energy going. Arsenal will be without Nasri and Rosicky on top of selling Ade and Toure. No news on if Yak will be on the starting XI for us yet.

    I'd like to see

    Howard
    Neville-Yobo-Lescott-Baines
    Osman-Screech-Cahill-Peanut
    Yak-Jo

    And let the talking begin!!

    Yakubu not playing.

I think you're close, but Hibbert in for Yakubu. Can't wait.

    4-5-1 all day.

    Howard
    Hibbo-Yobo-Joleon-Baines
    Ossie-Felli-Nev-Cahill-Pienaar
    Jo

Wouldn't mind going 4-4-2 against Arse to be fair, they have a weak defence nowadays.

You're saying Fellaini reminds you of Screech?

    Screech = super dork

Fellaini = the definition of cool :D

3 points at home against Arsenal would be a fantastic way to start this season!

The day before the game, and you all only could muster up nine posts?

"The Gunners have won more opening day Premier League matches than any other team (11) and have not conceded more than a single goal in any of their opening matches since 1993 when they suffered a shock 3-0 home defeat to Coventry. Despite a reputation for struggling against physical sides on their travels, Arsenal boast an unbeaten record of 12 away league games so shouldn’t be underestimated"

    You have been forewarned!

I'm watching the match with a friend of mine that's a Arsehole supporter, at his house too. Depending on who wins one of us not make it out alive. I'm predicting 3-1 Everton. Goals from Cahill, Cahill, Screech.

Cheers, we may as well not bother turning up, since you dug that little gem out of Wikipedia. History repeats itself every year don't you know, wake me up in May so I can look at the exact same league table.

Since our pal there thinks football is played on paper, I'll predict end of this year when they win nothing again? ;)

Have to think that Villa result is spotting us three points; now we just need to cash them in. COYB!

Actually, I picked it up from our match thread. Also, in many cases history does repeat itself. When I look at the table in May, I always seem to see the same four teams at the top.

    fyp.

Seriously though, I like Everton. You seem to have an honest team. I hope we destroy you all, but I am hoping for an entertaining game as well. Good luck in the league unless you are playing the mighty Arsenal.

Moyes shouldnt play Cahill and Fellaini in the same team, unless one is a striker.

Surprised Moyes hasn't worked this out yet given he sees them training everyday.
