    Egypt 1 Denmark 4

This was one of the strangest games i have ever seen in international football.

First the egyptians wanted to play in their away jerseys- which was the same colors as the danish away jersey. So the game was delayed.
Then they played the wrong Danish national anthem.

Then it turns out that the referee is---- Egyptian

The match was interrupted because fans stole the onlly ball in the stadium- when it finally was returned egyptian fans seemed to want to build another pyramid on the soccer field- I have never seen such big rocks being thrown onto the field and it seemed as if they were throwing them after the egyptian players

All five goal were exstremely beautiful. One player stands out: Claus Jensen, charlton, scored 3

    Jon dahl Tommason 1

all in all a useless friendly before the destiny match against Romania in Bucharest

It does sound like a strange match. You mentioned that they played the wrong Danish national anthem? Did they play an older national anthem?

It's not too unusual for the hosts to provide the ref for a friendly match.

to be fair, we have 2

One for the Monarchy- gets played at the Quenns birthday and other official events, and 1 that has always been used for football and is the only song danes know the lyrics to. It has always been played as the national anthem at footballing events

As long as i have lived I have never experienced any international game, friendly or not, were the referee has come from the home country

Egypt definately needs a new coach that can instill some discipline. They've got the talented players, they just need a new coach and they can go to germany in 2006
