One thing I would like to see in Chinese football is the massive expansion and regionalization of League Two. There are so many cities in China that are large enough to support their own professional clubs. In almost any other country in the world, it would be laughable if a city of 7 million people did not have its own professional club at any level. It could expand interest in the sport to a hundred smaller cities, and it would make for so many more interesting road trips.

I went to a Beijing Baxy game tonight for the first time. I have to say I love the relatively family-friendly atmosphere they are able to maintain in comparison to the Guoan games, where the young male working class fanbase degenerates into 傻逼 chants every several minutes. At the Baxy game tonight, one of the supporter's section leaders lost his temper and yelled something nasty at the Xinjiang fans, and the Baxy manager immediately turned around and reproached him from the side of the pitch.
