    Go Australia!

Ok...thats not being too realistic, I think Argentina will win but not without conceding a goal or two.

Rather undeservant if you ask me, against the run of play, Australia is the more attacking side and look to score each time they go up.

    Yep
I hope Aussies will make Argentina earn the victory or win themselfes, but that could mean we must beat argentina to get into semis

Correct me if I am wrong:

If Argentina wins with less than 5:0 (or equal 5 goal difference tendacy):
    we win the group if:
we play a draw OR we win

If Argentina wins with 5:0 or higher
    we win the group
    if we beat argentina

    a draw happens:
we win the group with a draw or a win

In all above cases we get into the semis

    If Aussie wins:
    we win the group when
Aussie or Argentina win with a lesser difference than us
    we win
    or we play draw

    We reach the semis
    if Aussie or Argentina looses
or we loose with less goals Aussie shoots against Tunesia (difference)

I want Germany to get 2nd in the group.
That way they would play the semi in Hannover. :)

Argentina is so lucky. If that penalty would have been given for the foul on Viduka, it would have stopped Argentina's momentum to score their third and the score would have been 2-2 now.

Germany leads the group by 1 goal now.

We need a draw or a victory to be first.

Undeserved win for Argentina if you ask me, that penalty that wasn't given could have given Australia the lead because it would have stopped the momentum that gave Argentina that third goal. Australia put up a good fight though.

I'm very disapointed with some Argentinian antics also, some of the players weren't very professional at all, guess it reflects the Boca case huh? Tsk tsk tsk...what a giant shame.

What? You're going to lay the "Argentina dominated" BS on me now? That's insane. If Australia's penalty would have been called, which it shoudl have been cause it was a blatant and obvious foul even you would have to agree with that, and converted it would have stopped the momentum that led to Argentina's third goal. The score would have been 2-1 Argies, then the penalty that was actually called for the equaliser and another due to that terrible mistake by the Argentina defense. Who knows if Argentina would have scored that last goal, maybe and maybe not, either way victory would not have been guaranteed.

Argentina's win was very scrambled and far from a domination.

Yada, yada, yada...Or perhaps Australia would have missed the penalty and Argentina would come back to score five. You can make all the suppositions you want in the scenarios inside of your own mind, but they don't match reality. What happened on the field is that Argentina controlled the match and had most of the best chances. They could have easily scored more. Australia showed lots of heart but little more. Their chances were incidental. Argentina's chances were well manufactured, and the final result is a reflection of what happened on the field.

If you want to discuss the match, discuss it with authority and prove that you know football, but don't waste everyone's time with stupid suppositions.
