Bergin says that the Crew is getting closer to their "final roster" I'll try to do this off the top of my head, and maybe myshap or somebody will fill in the Developmental spots. I was assuming that the last three, if they are kept at all, would be developmental players. Ain't nobody gonna use up a roster spot on any of them. I'm not sure what Walsh's status is, honestly.
Walsh is a TI, he counts against the roster, but not the 3 SI limit. So there are 20 players and the Crew have to cut 2. From the Dispatch article yesterday the Crew may only have to cut one person on the 17th because McBride doesn't count on the roster if/untill he gets back from Everton. So that gives the Crew an extra week to make the decison on who else should go. Developmental Roster as of now is: Akawari D (P40) Michael Ritch F (Dev) Michael Uelteschy GK (Dev) Trevor Perea M (Dev) Those that possibly can sign developmental contracts but have not yet signed: Guy Abrahamson D/M (22) has been banged up all preseason, but I liked what he did in college so I hope he gets a spot. Jake Traeger D (23) Kind of bad since he played at OSU, but I've never seen him play and the first time I heard of him was on draft day.
