I hate to start the rumor mill, but I am going to anyhow. I was at Granfalloon last night and ran into a friend of Preki's who plays for the Comets. He and I were talking and I asked if Preki had returned from Yugoslavia - he hadnt, but Eric had. Then he says to me, it's possible that Eric might sign with a team in Yugoslavia. Apparently, his trip over went well and he's seriously considering it. I have no idea how likely it is... but I just thought I would put the buzz out.
Ok, that's wierd. The msg that seems to be randomly standing alone about "Well, he might be friends with him too, however that was not the one" was a response to something... that is not on the board somehow. So I have no idea if I answered PM on the board or if the msg magically disappeared - just ignore it.
excuse me? would you like to be more specific? or how bout i give you the basic rundown. my msg... then one that asked who the friend was and it was guessed incorrectly. i replied but when it posted, what i was replying to wasnt there. somehow it was deleted? then i receive an email update saying spoon also responded, however when i went to look for it - it wasnt there either. kim is an old nickname. so LSN obviously knows me and i know that person too. in the meantime, it was possible i was going crazy and i found out that i wasnt, but instead the msg board is. and now you chime in with what is going on? so i ask you, once again, would you be more specific?

Back on Topic... Is Quill leaving, or isn't he? I wouldn't think so since Gansler talked about him at the Crusader's meeting, but this rumor seems to indicate otherwise?
I know, I mean come on of all places to go? WTF He could go to Halifax and be a star! The play might be crappier but the amount of people in the stands would be about the same.
Tony could have gone to Serie B in 2000. I would rather go to Turkey than Yugo, but it would be in last resorts.
I wouldnt know how seriously to take the rumor, but the person I was talking to is one of Preki's good friends. I see them out often together and have spoken to them both on numerous occasions. So whatever this guy has heard either from Preki or from Eric cant be too far off. However, it doesnt mean that Eric is going to up and leave this year. I did ask this guy that though. I asked if he meant for next season and he said, "yes, maybe". I'm sure the logistics of making that all a reality are not that cut and dry simple. Still, it could become a reality. He did go over to train for a couple weeks at Preki's suggestion and might have been really impressed or he impressed them. Who knows. Like I said - I was just throwing it out there. Besides, maybe the idea is something that is being kept quiet and kept to Quill, himself, until he knows what he wants to do and what he can do. I just thought it was an interesting tidbit of info passed on to me.
