Several of the "flashy" stars had yellow boots on last weekend. It was like Adidas pushed them out to MLS shoe endorsers to drive sales. I can't remember who all had them, but several other players besides the ones in our game...

I don't like them, but then again, I'm more of a grit fan than flashy...

I don't care what the man puts on his feet as long as he puts the ball in the back of the net. he could wear tiger stripes if he wants.

colored boots have become the norm among some players. i've seen bright blues, yellow, gold, red, orange. my brother wears the green TUNIT Mexico uppers. i think they're nice.

i'm a fan of colored boots. moreno's can stay.

Not that it matters, but many of the bright yellow shoes were also from the Nike endorsed players. Twellman, Adu, Bornstein, etc.

My wife made a good point, didn't Nike or Adidas have a cleat that you can order that has the colors of your Country?

It looked like there was some red and green on the shoes as well. Just a guess though,

Awesome. My great grandfather is from Italy and I've never been there, but if my family still lived there I probably couldn't afford Italian colored boots...so instead of American colors I think I will buy Italian ones for my rec league games.

my problem with the colored cleats is that it makes him rather conspicuous when he doesnt move around on the pitch...bright yellow standing still shows up rather well at RFK....

Hey, can we turn this thread into one where we pile on gratuitously against one of the best players ever to show up in MLS, who is about to become the leagues all-time greatest goal scorer, and the captain of our team...

Wooohooo! That will be so much fun!

    Rip him to shreds!

    I'm sorry, you misspelled Adidas...

Oh wait, there is another boot maker out there...

    Who knew?

if you say so...but...he was wearing these new Nike boots this past Sunday...I noticed them during warm-ups...Twellman was too (see below)...as well as others around the world...they do not become available to the public until the end of this month (like we are really interested)...

That's the problem with bye weeks, the torch and pitchfork crowd have too much time on their hands.

Sorry broseph, but Moreno wears the +F50 Tunit by Adidas, exclusively. He does not, and was not wearing Nike's the last two games. He was wearing the +F50 Tunit which is available in the bright yellow as a custom option.

    Yes.
We don't field players because of their career history. We field them based on their recent history. He's captained a team with 3 wins in what, our last 15 regular season league matches? The sky is falling I tell ya!
