    1. In general what kind of weight-lifting is good for soccer players?

    2. What's especially good for someone recovering from knee surgery (arthroscopy for a torn meniscus)?

    3. Is there any kind of weight-lifiting that I should avoid since it might result in reducing my sprinting speed?

    Thanks.

If you are recovering from an injury, you should ask the doctor.

As for losing speed, don't be too worried. As long as you do some speed training you should do fine. Just make sure you run a few times a week in addition to lifting.
