Can anyone tell me why there was a Confederate flag hanging behind the Real Madrid goal? Just wondering...
    Thanks

Because they're not allowed to fly their preferred Nazi flag.

The Confederate flag carries sufficient rebellious and racist symbolism for their liking.

So there are no black players on the team?

I also once saw a Confederate flag at an Atheltico Madrid game. Their colors matched.

Not that it means anything, but, no there aren't.

I took for granted that you understood that the flag was hung in front of the supporters group called the Ultras Sur. This group is a bunch of Neo-nazi knuckle-draggers who have long been an embarrassment to the club and fans.

The club won't let them hang their preferred Nazi symbols, so the Rebel flag will suffice to their needs.

No black players on RM? Really.. what about Makelele and Ronaldo? I'm not sure if Makelele is still there, or about Ronaldo's racial type.

Makalele left at the beginning of the season and now plays for Chelski.

In Spain, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos are morenos
(brown tone), not negros (black tone).

Don't ask me to try to explain how this relates to Ultra Sur views on race, because I don't dare speculate.
