I have an interesting question to ask. If any of you had been asked (back in 1996) to come up with the names for all the teams, what would you come up with. Just use the teams that are still around now, and don't use the names that they already have. Thanks

okay, maybe I should rephrase myself. When I meant names, I meant actual names..not names that reflect how you personally feel about the team. If it was the other way around, I wouldn't be able to print some of the names I could think up. Seriously though, I have to write short story that is totally fiction for my creative writing class and I can't use actual MLS name (even though I can base it on the league structure. So come on people, help a fire fan out!!!

Mostly I would have stuck with city names and nothing more. If anything, something less 'wyld' than what they came up with would be better.

For Chicago, LA & New York I probably would have had names because they're markets that could eventually have two teams.
