I don't know much about the u-20 team in regards to their lineups and bench. But i was wondering how likely do you think it is that adu will get say 15, 10, or even 5 minutes playing time in the next game on dec 2, or any others following that game. Will the subs used today pretty much be the same used the next game, or do u think he actually has a chance to play some minutes in this tourney? i would love any answers regarding this subject thanks undergroundfc
I down think you'll see him play unless we're down a goal late and Rongen thinks he'll provide a spark. or perhaps if we've already clinched in game 3 and he wants to rest the other forwards.
I think he was and is not ready to start. But if i was the coach I would have worked with him with our speed starters and get a counter attack practiced and going. If Rongen done that then if it was me I would have taken mcGee out and put Adu in with Jonhnson after the 63 minute in the last game. As Paraguay were pushing guys up into the attack, We would have blew them away if we had done that. Also less pressure on Adu when you do that because the team would not be behind they would be alreafy a head. Plus from a bunker position they could not counter us and get the tying goal against us. Final score could have been even bigger in our favor. In the group of death and this is the group of death a big goal differential could be the difference in moving up or not.
We blew them away anyway. In any event, Adu was a late addition to the team so he probably hasn't been able to practice alot, plus there's really no need to rush. Hopefully we can win our next match and then maybe a relatively meaningless game would be a good time to put Adu in. But there's no need to keep pushing things like this; his time will come soon enough.
To Adu or not to Adu ?...a hard question In my opinion that question have been answer by DC UNITED, but we still have a lot to talk about it ...my humble opinion is that 10 minutes on the final part of the game that we are winning ain't gona hurd nobody, but the final word belong to Mr Rongen...
