Looking at the team sheet from the Haiti game, I cant say I recognise too many players. My knowledge of A-League and College Soccer (if thats where these guys are) is sketchy at best, given my geographical circumstances (thats my excuse, anyways). Can someone fill me in on who these guys are please. Obviously I know the MLS guys........

Take a look at ussoccer.com, which should give you the info you are looking for. As you will see, there are (I beleive) 6 MLS players, 1 player from the Eredivisie, and the rest are in college. No A-League players.

There are 2 from Europe clubs, 7 from MLS, rest are from US Colleges. Many of these have previously been involved in the U-17 youth academy prior to college. Of the ones currently in college, I suspect most will not use up their 4 years of eligibility and instead will leave early to sign with MLS or Europe clubs. Especially ones that show well in this tournament.
Thanks I had no idea that squad was predominantly college guys. They must play a pretty high standard of soccer......higher than I imagined anyways. Is their a site about that? I wanna see the uniforms

You can do a google search for others - all major universities have web sites for their athletics. Regarding the level of play. A lot of poster, me included, bemoan the level of play in college. Obviously, it not all that bad. Many think that players development in college is slower than it would be in the pros. For one thing, they only play like a 20 game season from Sept to Nov, early Dec for NCAA playoffs. Also, they don't play FIFA standard rules. Mostly minor stuff, but the one I really think detracts from the college game is that they allow unlimited substitutions. Players can go out and come back on like at the youth level.
IMO the free substitution rule is one of the good things about college ball -- for the players. The coaches can get many more players time on the field. As a former college player, I appreciate that ...
