Question about the standing places

    If this was a true standing terrace then there wouldn’t be any chairs at all there. But that would mean that a whole section of the stadium would have to be empty for European games. That is obviously not the case. So how do you get more people in for the BL than for Europe?

    in dortmund most of the standing places are on the south stand (südtribüne). the lower part (60+%) has no seats in bundesliga. for european matches seats are installed. they have easy to install rows of about 10 seats, i think. the upper part of the south stand has permanent folding seats, which allows people standing between them. during bundesliga matches the folding seats are locked, for european matches they can easily been unlocked with special keys.
