For my birthday, I was lucky enough to receive a pair of tickets for the Man Utd vs. AC Milan exhibition match this summer. I was planning on getting a nice new Roy Keane jersey just for the occasion. But now I'm hearing talk of both a new shirt, and what's worse, speculation that Keane may not be back next season. I've done some poking around, but can't find definitive word on either front. Does anyone know anything? Thanks.

A new shome shirt will be used next season, so if you want that, it might be best to wait. The only problem is that the kit launch might not be until late in the summer, so you might have to wait to receive it, and it might not come in on time.

The dates on my current shirt say
    Launch: 1 Aug 2002
    Life span: May 2004

In that case, you might just want to get the current kit. The benefit also being that the current kit is on sale in many places, and if you order soon you can still get the "2002-03 Premiership Champions" patches. I would personally avoid Kitbag, however, because the jersey I ordered from them had vinyl name, number, and patches. But I know their Man United stuff is on sale right now.

As for Keano leaving, well its hard to imagine, but you just never know in this day and age. The team held a press conference last week with Ruud and Roy to say that neither is for sale, so that makes me feel a little better about things. And the only place I can see Keane going to at this point in his career is to his boyhood team, Celtic. But honestly I just don't see it happening.

Kitbag screwed up my order. I bought the red and white 3rd uni in the fall, and it had the EPL patches, but the CL/Nike default lettering. How the f__ does Kitbag make that mistake?

And one more caveat from buying from Kitbag. They ship using DHL, who will charge you tariff plus handling charge if your order is more than $100 or something like that, without telling you ahead of time. For me I ended up paying a surcharge of $25 for a $120 order.

I think the 'Forlan' and 'Butt' shirts are available on a time-limited special.

You can't get the 'Ferdinand' shirts anymore because they failed to turn up.

Be careful with the 'Giggs' and 'Fletcher' shirts, because they have the letters out-of-position.

    LOL! :D

Yeah Subside has a good selection too, but if you're shipping to the US it might cost a lot. I'd also consider The_Onion_Bag. My most recent jersey purchase was from there, and I have no complaints.

Onion Bag is good. When I went to NYC for Spring Break, I visited their store.

Check ebay as well they have many of the jerseys out there, the only thing is most of them are shipped from thailand and take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive.
