Here you have to renew your license every 5 years. I just renewed mine recently. They did not make me take a new ID picture. My new license will have the same pic from 5 years ago. I thought you get a new picture taken every 5 years when you renew it. Is this common what happened to me ? The woman said I didnt need a new picture. I did this at AAA and not the dmv. Is that why ? It seems strange that when my license expires in 5 years from now I'm gonna have the same pic that was taken 10 years ago.
before they went over to EC standard passports, british passports were valid for ages (life?) and i met many a traveller in their twenties whose PP pictures show them as babies!
