Question about college sports

    How is it decided which division(what level) teams play in? Is it possible to move up or down based on performances?

    Depends on the sport:
    Football (American) is Based on enrollment, Stadium Size, attendance and preformance.
    Moving up to Div IA from IAA is hard but I think South Florida did it a coupled of years ago.
    but it is rare.
    and I think temple is leaving The Big East (Div IA) and Moving Down to A-10 (Div IAA for Football) so it can compete.
