a decent keeper would have not spit the ball out to the middle, you guys also need to realize how hard the first shot was for him to push the ball to the side

knew santos would beat them by however many they needed

montreal is a decent team, but to have five scored on you when you have 10 players creating a wall in your own box, sunday league style, is embarrassing

still, better than what mls teams showed this year and every other year in concacaf

and didn't use as many excuses either (they didn't take it seriously even though i recall a lot of starters playing for revs, dc, houston and chivas usa)

Sure, like the time they got killed 5-0 to UNAM.

Or the time they lost to Chivas?

Or the time the failed to win a single game in qualifying?

The only time they have ever done well is when the damn tournment was played exlcusivly in DC when they won it.

Exactly. DC are complete failures in this tournament away from home. Houston are the same way, especially if you include the tournaments they played as the San Jose Earthquakes.

lol it doesen't matter what keeper you had in their even if you were to have van der sar on the impact. santos the more talented tactical team raped the impact simple as that, how many times did santos almost score and luck out with balls hitting the bar and their own players blocking shots at the montreal net? many many. not to mention the gift of a goal santos gave to the impact and the no pk call right before the last goal. santos dug themselves into their own hole, and managed to get themselves out and take care of business. welcome to Mexico concacaf.

I'm sure that when Gallardo and Emiliano left Mexico, they sure felt like they had been DP'ed like the rest of the DC Team.

    :D

It's all kind of old now but it does not matter.

Congratulations to Santos, the better overall team won. I would like to see a game played bewtween us with us in midseason form, it would be great to see, don't forget it's been weeks since our league ended, and weeks til it starts.

I wish you luck, any friend of Montreal deserves success!

Hold your heads high, we are as well.
