I hope Sweden do. I haven't seen much in the way of matches (not gonna get up before the Sun, and typically don't like replays in a tourny like this), but Sweden seem much more dynamic than anybody else, and they are going into the next match -30min + pks compared to everybody else. Got to say they are probably favorites at this point.
It’s basically the teams from the group again but CA instead of NZ, so I think on paper it looks like deja vu all over again _but_ as stated before, Sweden can’t handle being favourites _and_ they have no championship mindset, so I can see them crumble easily if things go even slightly wrong against either Straya or ‘murica. If Canadia _and_ my highlighter minions make the final I can’t even guess.
It would be great to see the US and Australia play a game just like their game in the group stage, for the gold medal.
If USA and Australia play in the Final, it will be an absolute classic. Both teams will actually give it their all, in going for GOLD. That wasn't the case the first time around. It's like they had an agreement with each other before their game. Let's draw, so we each get one point to get to the 4 points we need in our group to virtually guarantee our path to the Quarterfinal. They will be going for each others heads if they play again. There will be blood.
Only Sweden can win this Olympics. Hands down the best team in this tournament. They'll beat the USA for a 2nd time in the final.
Oh, my god! You're quite of a jinx: wasn't it you, about one month ago, saying on the men's boards that England couldn't lose the Euro final to Italy? So, now that you damned Sweden with your prediction, I have to assume that USA will win again?
It was indeed me. England lost that final because they were coward after 25 minutes. Usually when I go all out and come up with predictions I end up right more often than not. Sweden won't play cowardly. They are all attack at this tournament. I really can't see any other team winning. The men's tournament seems more open to me but I do favour Spain to take the gold there.
