In an official statement made on Porto's Website he denied saying anything about Barcelona and Benfica. Says he was interviewed by "Sport" newspaper the day before he was to meet up with his NT teammates before the Saudi-Arabia game (more than 2 weeks ago and way before the Champions League drawing took place...) Actually, I think it would be a Good move For Q. Also Costinha, Maniche, Ze castro play with Athletico so it would be a Good Fit For him.

Valid argument indeed. But we both know Quaresma would complain and bitch till the end of time unless he attained a regular starting spot. I could see him taking over Joaquim, as I think he is better then him, but not Vicente. Besides, the Spaniards would critize every move he did knowing they have one of their own just waiting in the background.

Him going to Atletico Madrid would be an actually pretty good move for him. He would be joining Maniche, Costinha as well as Ze Castro. They also have a wonderful striker by the name of Torres.

Atletico Madrid would only become stronger if they were to acquire Quaresma, but if they do want his services, they will need to offer a larger sum indeed.
