According to the sticky thread "Viewing party at Ricky's in San Leandro", the only other place to see the game in the Bay Area will be Green's Sports Bar in San Francisco. I've tried calling them today (Tuesday) but they don't open till 4.

Since basketball and hockey are done, maybe we can get a promise from them to show the Quakes...

Again, they don't open till 4, so call them if you want to request the game.

I was thinking of calling them yesterday, but I was distracted by other things... like work or something. I'll try to call them today - and it probably wouldn't hurt if we double or triple team them.

They don't have HDNet. Otherwise, I'd be all over it.

    Good luck, guys.

If they give you s***, make sure they know that there's an East Bay establishment with 20+ customers watching the game. Customers that were turned away from Green's by their attitude towards soccer fans (see the link in the stickied thread, if you don't know what I'm talking about), then catch BART to Bayfair, walk a 1/2 mile north on Hesparian to Ricky's and watch the 2nd half with us. :)

Here's the thread Guy is referring to:

Seriously, best of luck getting Greens to show the game, but it sounds like they are just not interested in our business. Why grace their doorway with your presence? If you can't be at the stadium in LA and you really need to see the game, Ricky's is your best bet.

And Guy's got the point: if some place doesn't want to cater to you, go somewhere where your company is appreciated, even if it is a bit out of the way.

The guy I just talked to (at 4:25pm) wasn't able to tell me anything. Maybe someone who lives there can make a personal visit with a horse's head?
