These are really nice reports to help folks stay abreast of what's going on with the team. Good work by the Quakes staff!
" . . . Alvarez has shown impressive flashes with the ball and good speed on the wings . . . " So we might have another option on the flanks.
Good to hear that Walker is enjoying his time with the club. Also nice to hear about the young guys. Thanks guys.
"Robinson suffered a broken nose during a training session scrimmage Tuesday, February 4 following a mid-air collision with Chris Roner. As both players jumped for the ball, Roner’s head made full contact with Robinson’s nose, causing the break." I remember reading last year about an Earthquakes game or practice where Roner and Robinson both went to head the ball and Robinson's head smashed into Roner's mouth, knocking out some of Roner's teeth and putting a gash in Robinson's scalp. What's up with these two? I'm glad to hear they take practice seriously, but that's maybe a little too serious.
Sounds like they should be fitted with face masks and possibly those helmets like rugby players wear. At least in practice.
