During the broadcast it was obvious there were lines that were painted over, but for some reason I kept thinking about the soft-opening and forgot about Dom.
The field was lined at 74 yards wide for the soft-opening (just like during the last four seasons at Buck Shaw Stadium) , lined at 72 yards wide for the regular season home games (and likely would've been even narrower at 70 yards wide like Dom favored in Houston had his current boss not thankfully nixed the idea of the sidelines being taken even further away from the field-level customers who already paid extra to be close to the action) , and lined at 75 yards wide for the USWNT game. -G
You're just mad he'll continue the Earthquakes' terror of the Sounders that's gone on since their inception.
Except, most Quakes fans feel the same way about Kinnear's field narrowing. For a coach that likes to use two speedy outside players, Salinas and Nyassi, you would think he would want to give them more room to operate. Obviously his focus is on preventing goals, rather than on scoring them.
Should this thread be renamed the "Quakes discussion thread" or the "Quakes stadium discussion thread" at this point?
Cool video. Is there another area for their practice fitness training. I just saw the number of views on other SJ Earthquake youtube videos. Do they advertise their youtube page anywhere else.
I have never thought this before, but while watching him in the video I think he looks a lot like Kobe Bryant.
