I was wondering if anyone knows if the Quakes game on April 12th will be televised? Since it is their first regular season game and it is away i was wondering if anyone will get together to watch the game. I don't really know any quakes fans so I think it would be more fun to watch the game with people who will enjoy it as much as myself.
Normally, there are viewing parties for away games at one of the Britannia Arms locations in San Jose -- there's one downtown (the "downtown Brit"), and one in south San Jose on Almaden Expressway (the "Almaden Brit"), and one in west San Jose on De Anza near 85 (the "Cupertino Brit" since it's right on the border of San Jose and Cupertino). But the TV schedule hasn't been announced yet. There is supposed to be a big announcement next Tuesday between MLS and Fox Sports World about more games on TV, but usually by now they know which games will be on local TV and whether they're going to be delayed or not. So... stay tuned. Once the TV schedule is announced there will be something posted here about which Brit people will be at.
Well the shoot-out schedule for April 12 is: ES01 7:30PM MLS SHOOTOUT 2003 #3 3 FSNY ES02 8:00PM MLS SHOOTOUT 2003 #4 4 CSN ES03 11:00PM MLS SHOOTOUT 2003 #5 5 FSBA Is FSBA Fox Sports Bay Area? Perhaps a tape-delayed broadcast?
FSBA is definitely Fox Sports Bay Area. Are those times Eastern? That would be delayed since the game is supposed to be at 7 PM (10 PM Eastern). I hope they announce the TV schedule soon so we don't have to guess at this stuff.
Yep, those times are EST. It appears that the game will be broadcasted on a tape-delay basis but I guess that is better than not at all.
Why would they show the Quakes when they can scintillate their audience with the 89th airing of 'Beyond the Glory - Vince Carter"? That's what's currently listed at 8pm. Up till 8 is an NBA game, so it is likely to be tape delayed if shown at all. Of course, that means the first 25 minutes will be pre-emptied while we watch fouls and free throws extend the last two minutes of the NBA game into eternity.
