IIRC, Quaker's sponsorship expires after this season. That's a big chunk of change on the line (for this club, anyway). Anyone have any insight on whether they are going to re-up?

IIRC, the Toyota sponsorship is with the stadium. Which is a Bridgeview, not Fire, deal. But, obviously, losing the Toyota deal would not auger well for the Fire.

Any new news about this? When does the deal end 12/31/14?

Portland just renewed their jersey sponsor with Alaska Airlines.

Toyota began sponsoring Toyota Field in Dallas at the end of last year. Considering that next season will likely see lower attendance and another lack of post-season play, I suspect that for all practical purposes they're already gone.

Unless Quaker's marketing plan centers around the globally curious, you have to wonder what incentive they have to re-up except that they're HQ'd here and it's their chance to be the main sponsor of a Chicago sports team without having to shell out the kind of $$$ it wojuld take to say that about the 'Hawks, Bears, Bulls or even either baseball team. Reportedly, they were pissed off at Andyass' "Editorial" last year and he's somehow managed to not repeat that disaster but why would Quaker want their name all over the shirt of a bunch of losers?

I can see them re-upping for far less than they originally paid a few years ago, maybe half what they originally paid.

I dunno. Is it just me, or does it seem like Toyota plasters their name on everything. When it comes to sports venues specifically, the San Antonio Scorpions also play on a Toyota Field. Then there is also the Toyota Center in Houston.

Matter of fact, I was reading about The Eternal Derby between Red Star Belgrad and Partizan on Wikipedia earlier this morning and saw this:

Sigh...I remember when Section 8 use to look like that.

Anyways, yeah, Toyota. If you gotta a billboard, we gotta sign.

Toyota could renew. Stranger things have happened. I wouldn't bet my next pay check on it, though.

They didn't like either the jerseys or the blatant ass-kissing-begging-on-his-knees-not-to-abandon-him move by Dear DollarDouchebag. The fan fallout killed it.

How could they turn down the opportunity to host the B96 bash or Polish fest?!

    Dude knows his shit.

Take that noise to the bank, bozos.

No mas Quaker Oats. Maybe the Waffle House would be interested, I literally just passed two of them here in RVA in a matter of two blocks. They're like the fucking Starbucks for Lynyrd Skynyrd NASCAR fans, they're everywhere. East coast media exposure baby, it's good biz.

Waffles, White Trash Quesadillas and deep fried hushpuppy apple pie bars. I'd buy that for a dollar!
