Hey everyone, I live in Chicago. The chances of seeing D1 and D2 games here is about as good as someone in England getting to watch a high school baseball game. Anyways, I do not know why, but I started supporting QPR in the second division. Things at this point are looking good for QPR to make the first division next year! Is it tough to get tickets to a game over there or are they sold out all the time. Are non-premiership matches on TV a lot or no?
Welcome to the forum - interesting choice of clubs. Can't say Im a big fan of the Seaweed or ManU, but you're welcome to learn more about the R's here. As for the League football on back in the States, I think there is some Setanta (PPV satelite) channel. I'll leave it to Atouk to fill you in on the details. Maybe one of the ex-pat bars in Chicago can help you with some info.
Welcome to the QPR board. Yes, Football League matches are nearly impossible to find on TV in the US. Unfortunately, Fox Sports World doesn't regularly show games they'd have access to that Sky shows in the UK. I'd highly recommend signing up to QPR World through the club's official site. Through that, you can follow the club at least as closely (more closely, actually) than any hometown MLS club. Again, welcome to our area of Big Soccer. QPR is a great club with great fans. Hope you make it over to Loftus Road sometime and participate here frequently as the R's go up!
They show some Div 1 games at Ginger's Ale House on the north side. Sentanta shows some Div 1 matches. I know that last year Fox Sports World showd most of the promotion games.
I will check the Ginger's website to see if QPR will be showed there. If not, I will be checking the Internet and Sky Sports News to see their results.
