Can we sign Austin? Can we get Johansen from relegated Fulham?

Even though Lumley has left, it looks like they're going to let Kelly have his wishes and let him go as well. They'll have to bring in a new backup keeper. Kelly spent time on loan at Motherwell and they want to sign him on a permanent deal.

West Brom has confirmed they won't be exercising the club option on Charlie Austin's contract, so he'll be available on a free.

We're not going to be a club with too many older players, but it would be nice if we could sign Austin and Johansen for next season.

What is the deal with Johansen? Presumably his loan deal from Fulham was just for the season although I do remember talk of their being an option to sign him permanently. I really hope we can get that done. His presence in the midfield was a huge factor last year and after signing Austin, Johansen is probably the most important catch we could make this offseason

I looked back at the QPR site and BBC site stories when Johansen came to us -- nothing there about an option to buy.

I guess the main sticking points are a) they got relegated and b) their manager is about to leave, so they probably don't want to let a player of his quality go until the new manager decides whether he'll be in their plans.

Jimmy Dunne, 23-year-old center back, has signed on a 3-year deal from Burnley. Warburton says the 6'3 defender can play left, center, or right in a 3-back setup.

Sam McCallum, 20-year-old left wingback, has arrived on a season-long loan from Norwich. He had been a Coventry player before moving to Norwich 18 months ago. He made 41 appearances last season back with Coventry on loan.

That was the best off-season I can ever remember, in terms of the business we did. Getting Austin and JoJo to sign on the dotted line was definitely more than anyone ever imagined, but coupling that brilliant business with adding some young hungry players with bags of potential, is just fantastic. Well done to everyone at the club
