QF-Costa RIca vs Honduras [R] pre, post and game comments

Rojas from CRC given a yellow card, seemed very questionable to me. I'm not sure it was even a foul, much less a yellow.

 

Did I mention that Umana should have been tarred and feathered. C'mon Costa Rica!

 

Bryce shoots straight at the GK could've been 3-2

 

Bryce (CRC) with a chance, but shoots it right at the keeper.....should have gotten a better shot off.

 

Why did Bryce shoot when he had two unmarked men to the left of him? Dumb. If he slides it over, it's an automatic goal.

 

That was a fun first half. Hope the second is as good.

 

I was hoping for a replay of that at halftime to show it again, I had the same impression as you that he could have passed it but I wasn't sure. He also could have gotten off a much better shot. Poor execution all around.

 

A part of me is happy to see crc to go down, early, just good to see another ca team take down the C.A. kings

 

What's the linesman watching - there were two Hondurans offsides on that last offensive chance......

 

I rewound it on my DVR. It was essentially a 3 on 1 at the edge of the box. He just got greedy.

 

What a save by Mesan. Could have been 4-1 Honduras.

It's over.....good fight by Costa Rica after getting down so early. But they basically gave it away with their poor defensive play early in the game.

 

FT: 3-2. Ticos fell short. Honduras advance to the semi-finals. Heck of a game.

 

Imagine how much higher the quality of CONCACAF's hex would have been if Honduras were in it.
