This reflects horribly on Argentina. You can't have QFs on a field in THAT state.

Q: What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?

A: They go to the penalties.

Blame CONMEBOL that didn't want to have more matches in other places, just like they arranged the possible bracket of Chile to have most of their matches in Cuyo, but eh they want to have the most matches on the worst pitch. Oh well, guess this is the problem of having tournaments held in winter, the result the pitch of Santa Fe is the best, why? Because the winter is more mild in there.

I honestly don't know what to make of this game. With respect to Paraguay, we should have won this game by at least 2 or 3 - 0, but I understand that this sport is beautiful and exciting because of the unpredictability factor.

But even so... we did everything right. We had a million shot attempts, dominated the field, controlled the tempo, we had everything... except luck.

It's losses such as these that really make me realize that I would much rather lose by being humiliated and outclassed than to completely and utterly dominate a game against an opponent who was too afraid to attack and still lose anyway.

Well, you guys demonstrated true composure in the end, you deserve it. I hope you guys make it to the final.

This is soccer, no matter how good or bad you are, in the end whats matter is ball hitting the net.

special emphasis to the biggest beach soccer stadium in Argentina, where this match happened, very nice stadium.

If you placed a bet on a Venezuela-Peru final at the start of the tournament, you may be rich in a week.

Martino always gets lucky, now this is gonna mask all the wrongs he's been doing.

I hope he still goes but now I just don't see it happen.

Best thing that could have happened to Brazil imo. They have to correct all of their mistakes because the next world cup is in their own backyard. So it's a big wake up call. I only see teams like Germany and Netherlands getting stronger.
