Would the Souq Al Bayt be a good place to grab a meal before the match?

I certainly think so - and maybe even a great spot for US fans to meet up before heading to the USA vs England game. Can take the buses directly to Al Bayt, or Metro to Lusail Stadium and then bus from there.

I like that as well, do know that alot of people are taking red line to Lusail and then the shuttle buses from there. Souq with Express bus is not a bad idea.

I'm going to put together a meetup spot outside the stadium and then we can all march in to the beer perimeter together. That'll let everyone find their way to the stadium. But love the call out for the souq as a meetup spot..

went ahead and did this.. just to get us together at a point near the stadium.

ENGLAND PREGAME Meetup (645p) and March (7p): Nov 25
Given the logistics of this stadium, we think just meeting at the stadium (near the beer) will be satisfactory. Find your way to the stadium by any means (shuttles from Lusail, express bus from city, taxi/uber).

"We march when the beer starts" (I think that rhymes..?) Beer starts at 7pm inside the stadium perimeter, so let's march at 7pm from the designated location.

El Mandarin food stand; southwest corner of the Al Bayt stadium complex.
    - it's free (no reservations required)
    - all ages, unlimited capacity
    - fairly easy to get to
    - not much nearby
    - very close to the stadium
    - very close to beer!

Location: Al Mandarin food stand in the southwest corner of the Al Bayt stadium complex
    Time:
    - 6:45pm: meet at the Al Mandarin food stand
    - 7:00pm: March #1 to the stadium perimeter. Beer sales begin inside stadium perimeter at 7p.
    - 9:00pm: March #2 inside stadium perimeter to the seats.
This stadium is approx 1 hour from Doha and there's nothing around it. Beer sales only available inside stadium perimeter 3 hours prior to kickoff and 1 hour after the game.

Update due to no alcohol situation.

    USA Gameday Events:

ENGLAND PREGAME: Souq Rally (5:45pm to 6:15pm) and stadium March (8:00pm): Nov 25

Come join the USA Supporters for 2 great pregame activities.

    1) RALLY (Souq Waqif): from 5:45pm to 6:15p.

The rally will be held in the courtyard outside of Al Hafeed Restaurant.

It is a great location, just steps from the Metro and Shuttle Bus (and Uber/Careem and near fan fest/corniche)

    2) STADIUM MARCH (water fountain staircase): 8:00pm

Let's all meet at the base of the Water Fountain Staircase (see pic) to head into the stadium at 8:00pm with the big flag and drum. South side of the stadium, see pic.

Transportation from Souq Warif to stadium is a bjt trickier. Here are some options:
    - Metro red line at the Souq to Lusail stop, transfer to bus shuttle then on to the stadium.
    - Express Bus from Souq to the stadium.
    - Taxi/Careem/Uber from the Souq

This stadium is approx 1 hour from Doha and there's nothing around it.
