I was in Rustenburg, South Africa for USA v England at the 2010 World Cup. I sang "My Country Tis of Thee" during the England national anthem. I'm both proud and ashamed of that moment. Good to renew the rivalry. We are 1W - 1D - 0L in World Cup vs the limeys.

Al Bayt stadium is the most unique and beautiful Qatar World Cup stadium. But it does look like it’s the biggest hassle to get to and from, especially with this game being the 10:00 PM kickoff.

Do I take the 330am FlyDubai shuttle, or the 4am, or the 430am...lol. I guess the good news is I can basically keep my body on Pacific time for the tournament by going to sleep around 8am

Was looking at same. Just heading to airport and go actually makes alot of sense. I picked that noon-ish return shuttle instead though.

I take it you have a place to sleep then after the game? We're just coming in on match days (ENG and IRN) and going back. The 3-night minimum stays forcing our hand... Makes $516 worth of round trips for 2 games seem like a deal.

Yep have a crash pad type place with about 8 people, we are all coming and going throughout those 2 weeks. Airbnb in Dubai as base and then just flying in for game days.

Block 120, Row J for my group.

Which is surprising given its location (directly behind the goal) and the fact that we got Cat. 2 tickets...

Block 125 (supporter cat 1). In retrospect, probably better to get cat 3 as a supporter.

I am jealous of all these seat assigments. I couldn't get the supporter ticket against england game due to a conflict game. Those tickets were there forever. But my seats against wales and iran are great and can't beleive they are cat 3.

Crazy that they are only $68. Cat 3 group stage is the best deal ever.

Especially supporter tickets where you get the prime locations.

How do you know what your seat assignments are? I thought I was getting e-tickets to be delivered at some random point.

If they are US supporter tickets througu the US soccer allocation, you go into your FIFA ticketing account and it will show there.

Although the FIFA ticket accounts seem to be locked right now, and the hypothesis is that they’re actually allocating seats for all of the other games.

Got Block 120, Row Y from my TST7 CAT-2s, so about 20 rows back. I'm actually super happy even though they're behind the end line as this is a 60K stadium and I see some of the CAT-1s at other games in the very last rows. Heart of the US section, we're gonna get this one! Can't wait for this game. History will be made.
