    jan 13 japan vs denmark

    lol i guess it's already jan 14

is this tournament supposed to be all closed door games that nobody else but afc official sites have been informed until the day after the competition started? although i'm so amazed with their intelligence, i think it's about time for afc site to give us the name of whoever writes these things. i would love to know how japan u-23 vs denmark u-23 ended. all i have regarding japan's u-23 schedule is

    2/8 iran u-23
    2/11 russia national team
    2/21 kroea u-23

the impressive afc beats me on this... even jfa site doesn't have this tourney in their schedule

I thought I heard Denmark won 1-0. But I could be wrong.

    Anybody got the score?

Japan team is not the Olympic team but a college students team.
Now, U-23JapanNT is during a winter vacation.

Cripes! It isnt even the regular Universiade squad, but just a bunch of U-21 players from mainly Kokushikan, Fukuoka U. and Tokyo Gakugei !!!

I wonder how much they paid to get this group to take part. And more importantly, if Troussier's influence isnt even enough to convince Japan to send its first-string universiade squad, I wonder how much longer he is going to last as the coach?

    South Korea 5-0 Paraguay

Jin-kyu Kim got a red card. I have high expectations on this 18 year old, and I hope this game taught him a lesson. Each side got a red card I believe.

5-0 Korea over Paraguay. Choi Tae-Uk with a hat trick. This guy is one enigma right here. Sometimes he can play well as he did today but on the other days he loses his confidence and becomes absolutely crap. Very inconsistent, but has potential as we saw today (he's pretty damn fast, that's for sure... if he can put that good speed into use).

Choi Sung Kook with a good free kick, but I'm not sure if he meant to shoot that. Nice bend, though.

Now, this is a very good result against a good side which I haven't seen in a while from Korea (not since 4-1 beating of Scotland), but Paraguay played very crappy as well. We'll see if Korea can keep this up. Switzerland is up next...

i still cannot find any japanese media talking about this. nobody in yahoo forum is talking about this neither. anyway, sunday highschool & college league selection will be good enough for japan to take care of crappy side like qatar, korea, swiss, paraguay, and morocco.

Korea 2 Switzerland 0. Crom80, Cho Jae Jin finally scores! ;) Choi Tae Uk scores once again as well. Our Olympic team is looking pretty good for now. We'll see if they can win this whole thing. Most likely they'll advance to the next round since they already have 2 wins (with game against Morocco left).

I love all that "pamoon"(controversy) series the Korean boards produce :D

one of my favorites was that Doohyun Kim finally got to open his eyes after seeing Cho score. Oh, and there were things like "Cho, no longer friends with Doori Cha and Suzuki!" and "Cho claims, 'this is how you score.' "

Oh, and the "Cho's 'Scoring was the easiest' controversy" referring to the book titled "Studying was the easiest" written by a Seoul National University student a couple years ago. :D

South Korea 0-2 Morocco. One thing's for sure now. We have a pretty noticeable gap between the starters and the bench members. Oh, and Jihyuk Kim couldn't prove himself as the goalie either. I'm sure the coach will use Young-kwang Kim if it continues like this.

i hope that Australia's U23's play Japan and Korea's U23's more often in more competitions like a 4 nation tourney every so often perhaps?

Japan is playing against Korea at Semi

I guess Japna and Korea made to the semis. Another semi is Switzerland vs Morroco.

Asian duo to meet in semi-final

at 65 minutes so far its Korea 2 Japan 0. Cho Jae Jin with another goal (I do value this guy for his heading skills, and that's exactly how he scored here), and Choi Tae Uk added another from a PK.

Well, probably expected result considering Japan played their college players (and they still put up a good fight in this tournament). Korea will face winner of Morocco and Norway (I think) if the result holds up.

    Morocco 3-1 South Korea

S.Korea scored the first, but then conceded 3 later on after going down to 10 men. The Koreans sure aren't that good against some of these teams that play the mental game. The Koreans broke down to such mind-games pretty badly.

And this has got to be one of the biggest over-reactions I've seen in....quite a long time. :D

lol about not being friends with Cha Doo-ri...
dude... that Chaboom the 2nd really isn't living up to expectations at all. His goals/90 minutes is just terrible. If he is to continue playing football at a professional level, he will have to abandon the position of striker. A striker has to score goals, and that's the one thing he just can't seem to do.
