I just got in the mail, one of those cheesy letters that people write generically to let everybody know how they are doing. That explanantion is terrible but it boils down to recapping recent events(in this case the year 2004). It was from my wife's cousin. It detailed their new baby, Will's admission to Stanford grad school, travels, etc. A picture of their baby was decoratively attached to the top of the page. Gag.

I was actually planning on sending you tunes from three of those albums in the Mix CD Swap; Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire and Neutral Milk Hotel. All three are great albums. In fact, the NMH album is possibly my favorite album of all-time.

I actually have your discs almost done so rather than waiting for MB, we should just PM our addresses to each other.

I made one mellow and one more upbeat disc for you but after listening to the mellow one during a drive to Boston on Thursday, I want to make some additions and deletions. I could probably have the discs to you next week though.

Re: Music that Amazon recommends for me

He hasn't yet. Your brother and I decided that since we have similar musical tastes, we'd trade discs this month so we just sent Bishop a PM and asked him to pair us up.

He said he thought he'd make the matches late last week but I guess he was busy.

BTW, I'm loving the Jack Johnson and JJ Cale stuff you've sent over. I'm still wading through the other discs.

Metal and industrial don't do it for me. Anything I should avoid for you?

Does R&B mean Babyface type of stuff or does it mean old Eddie Cochran type stuff?

A lot. Too much to list. We've swapped twice so I have seven mixes from him. But I wouldn't worry about it too much. Even if you hit on the same band, there's an excellent chance you'd pull a different track.

what was the impetus behind your decision? Generally I like nose piercings on women.

I always wanted to do it... since I was a teenager. But first my mother wouldn't let me, and then I was forced to conform to the conservative nature of accountancy. And now, I just said ******** it. :D

I decided to go ahead and do your mix(es) tonight. I'm gonna go ahead and tell you that it will be all over the place. I'm not the greatest at making cds flow. I just like a big mish mash!

Jack Johnson is awesome. On and On is one of my favorite albums of the last several years.

    J.J. Cale is fantastic too.

Re: Music that Amazon recommends for me

Post a picture! My wife has her nose pierced (hoop though.) She said it'll start to feel better in a few weeks. Oh yeah, it never gets to a point to where it won't close up almost instantly after taking it out. My wife had a part time job where she had to remove it about 4-5 hours a day, and she said it nearly killed her to put it back. She ended up quitting the job because of it.
