Watched the video. It's touching. God Bless these and all wounded soldiers. I can only hope that the VA takes better care of those who appear to have not have sufficient support. one effort: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h109-2528 another: Combat-Related Special Compensation Update Combat related VA Disability Rating Monthly CRSC 100% $2,193 90% $1,317 80% $1,171 70% $1,008 60% $801 50% $633 In order to qualify, you must have a disability of at least 10% directly related to the award of the Purple Heart decoration; or, a combat/hazardous duty/operations-related disability (or disabilities) rated at 10% or higher ... Some on here have quoted articles that we have somehow ignored our wounded soldiers. While I am sure there are instances where bureaucracy and red tape have adversely affected these soldiers, I beleive that we are doing as much as we can. There have been other video pieces done on wounded soldiers from Iraq. See: http://www.c-span.org/search/basic....s+in+Iraq&image1.x=0&image1.y=0&image1=Submit A two part series on CSPAN on soldiders in Walter Reed. Click on the links to view. See another story about what a wounded soldier is doing after his combat service; it's not always about trailer parks or living in cars, despite what Mel "I have a more refined sensibility than anyone else on here" Brennan thinks: http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/fortwayne/news/local/12047868.htm
I think all Americans want oil, preferably cheap, and don't much care where it comes from. Unless, of course, you ride a bicycle everywhere & have no heat or electricity in your home.
So you think it's fine to have people killed, blown up to get your oil eh? and George Bush is stealing the oil, he aint buying it off Iraq, he's stealing it
1. Actually, you do, but just don't want to admit it. 2. GB caught on video driving off without paying at the pump in Baghdad?
lol to be fair that 2nd one made me laugh of course i would like oil, but not at the expence of people dying
How about caribou, or whatever roams northern Alaska? Unfortunately, most commerce which First World countries have with Third World countries may involve exploitation of workers. Whether it's the clothes on your back or the shoes on your feet made in some foreign factory by the functional equivalent of slave labor, the soccer ball sewn by some 12-year-old, or the imported food picked by stoop labor in unsanitary conditions. No one wants to think about this while they're wearing their inexpensive clothes during dinner while watching soccer...
i didn't say he litrely wanted it for himself,he wants it for america so america can make money, and oh you'll be banned again, 70 sock of you lol
If we wanted oil why don't we have their oil? Their oil would be my oil if I was in charge you can be sure of that.
If we get their oil that pays for the war. We make money instead of a deficet and it keeps the middle east safe. Take their oil they have no money to start trouble. Presto peace in the middle east. Yet you think it was about oil. Dumb if it was we would have all that money that oil brings we don't. Why is that Colm?????????? No answer??????????
You're controlling Iraq's oil reserve, awnser me this, if Bush is there for democracy and peace, do you think he'll go into other nations around the world to help them? i think not.
How is the oil price goign us helping us? its just damaging the economy seriously find a new conspiracy theory because that one...strictly dont float..
