I need your help - I need new shoes, and I'm looking at the Puma Kings (I have pretty wide feet). However, the local soccer store does not have them in my size, so I'll have to buy them over the internet. What is Puma's sizing compared to Adidas, Nike, etc? My history is: Adidas Libero - size 12. The shoes were very tight, and too narrow. Gave up on them due to blisters. Nike Total 90 - size 13. These were the cheap ones ($35), not the expensive Air zooms or whatever. Width was ok, there was a bit too much space in the toe, but overall, good fit. But, one of the cleats broke off - I need new shoes. Usually I'd buy a shoe in 12.5 size. However, the Pumas are only made in 12 or 13. A regular 13 is probably too big for me, while a smaller 13 such as Nike would be ok.
Puma typically runs 1/2 smaller than your measured foot size. Hence if you measure a 12/5, buy a King in size 13. The fact it is a good quality leather means it will probably stretch to accomodate your width. Note: the all black King Classic is a Kangaroo leather which will stretch a bit more than the King Top or GC which is a calfskin.
