looks a half step behind today, tidy touch though, wore the wrong cleats - he's slipped a couple times including just now (85th minute) when he was about to round the corner deep in the box
teammates for sure happy to play him the ball, no concerns on their part deep into a 1-0 game (Dortmund up 1-0, btw) which is a good sign
Playing fairly well the last 8 or so minutes. You can see the talent there. Almost a gorgeous assist to Reus.
Really nice cross from the right on the counter, just headed away by Hannover defender for a stoppage time corner, leads to a series of corners final, Dortmund win 1-0
Kind of tough going for Pulisic, especially right after he came on. Dortmund as a whole were controlling possession, but weren't creating many clear cut chances. I've only watched them these past several weeks since Pulisic has been in the team, but their attack seems totally different (in a bad way) without Aubameyang in.
Where was that game being played - Dortmund or Antigua and Barbuda? Frustrating performances. A few slips from the bad surface to cause to's and balls that were a millimeter from coming off. Could use one of them to shake the nerves out as he's establishing himself.
Difficulty with footing, active, one very nice turn to beat a man at pace, one great chance lost when he failed to control the ball on the counter, some good crosses. You can see he has a very quick first step to unbalance defenders.
He has good top speed but he looks to have an explosive first couple steps. Agreed with others thst it was a mixed bag for him. The almost assist to Reus would've been nice, and that turn on the defender was sweet. He warrants more PT, especially with their fixture congestion
Like Landon. Lalas said, when he was playing, that Landon's top speed was not the problem, it was his acceleration.
Excuses: He's getting the business from the old pros in Dortmund. More seriously, he is growing into his body - he is noticeably taller since the U17's. Praise: Great off the ball movement.
Yup. Pulisic can gain separation from his mark very quickly. Combine that with his ability to make plays at top speed with both feet.....man, be still my beating heart.
